Heh.
My Dad actually had this comic out and ready to show me as soon as I got home today. I probably would have been more amused at the time had I not been soaking wet and covered in mud.
Ha, you need to come back to being a yuppie Seattleite again, where the worst you need to worry about is being caught out in a sudden rainshower before you can duck into the nearest Starbucks. :P
Gah, that reminds me! They really are putting a Starbucks in on the Ave!!! Remember when Johnny's Flowers (or whatever it's called...) moved? Yeah, the Starbucks is being put into that building! I was so very horrified.

Nothing would please me more!
Well, maybe a few things. But I can't really put them up in my journal, can I?
*Snickers* You know, I don't think that's too far from the truth, sadly...
Sadly, yeah. Have you seen Chapelle's Show? There's an episode with him playing Bush, and there's a press conference about Iraq where he says something along the lines of, "Why are we talking about this? Gay people are getting MARRIED!" And then he tries to distract people with a mission to Mars. This all being purely speculative and totally unrelated to actual events, of course.
Completely unrelated. Not at all like our lives for the last four years. Not in the slightest.

Remember his reason for going to war? I think it was actually a little more plausible than what's been being fed to us. | |
